For the 2026-27 NBA season, the crypto sportsbooks I would use are Cloudbet, BetOnline, Sportsbet.io, Bovada and Shuffle, in that order. Three of them do not accept players in the United States according to their own terms, so where you live decides half of this list before odds do. Below: the season dates, what matters for basketball when your bankroll is in crypto, and the five books with the limits, caps and cashier rules they publish.
The 2026-27 season starts on 20 October
The regular season opens on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, and ends on 11 April 2027 with all 30 teams playing. The Emirates NBA Cup group stage runs from 30 October to 27 November, the quarterfinals are on 4 and 5 December, and the Cup final is on 11 December. The trade deadline is 11 February, All-Star weekend is 19 to 21 February in Phoenix, the Play-In Tournament runs 13 to 16 April and the playoffs start on 17 April. All dates come from the NBA’s key dates page. If you bet futures, the trade deadline is the date that matters: a roster can change until then, and so can the price you locked in.
What matters when you bet basketball with crypto
Volume, and the margin you pay on it
Basketball gives you games almost every night for six months, which means the margin compounds faster than in football. A spread at −110 on both sides costs 4.55%. On 6 October I read Cloudbet’s NBA preseason board: Hornets–Nets at 1.87 / 1.91 on the spread and 1.89 / 1.89 on the total, which is a 5.8% margin on both. Preseason lines are not regular-season lines, and one game is not a sample, but it is a number I measured rather than one a book claims. None of the five below publishes its basketball margin. Check the two-way price yourself before you settle on a book for the season.
Player props and same-game parlays
Player props (points, rebounds, assists) are where books cap you hardest, well below the main line. BetOnline takes $30,000 on an NBA spread and $1,000 on basketball props and futures. Bovada, Cloudbet and Shuffle all offer a builder for same-game combinations under different names: Prop Builder, Bet Builder, Same-Game Multis. None publishes the margin inside a same-game parlay, so price each leg on its own before you combine them.
Live betting and cash-out
NBA games swing in minutes, so live prices move fast; read a book’s live-betting rules before you bet in-play. Cash-out lets you sell a bet back at a price the book sets. Bovada offers it on singles and parlays, pre-game and live, but not on every market. Cloudbet and Shuffle offer it too; Cloudbet’s rules say a cash-out cannot be reversed.
Limits and maximum payout
The cap on what you can win matters more than the cap on what you can stake. Sportsbet.io is the only book here that publishes an NBA-specific figure: €500,000 of winnings per 24 hours. BetOnline caps parlays at $150,000 and total winnings at $250,000 per 24 hours. Bovada caps any sportsbook payout at $1,000,000, and Cloudbet caps parlays at €1,000,000.
Crypto payout speed and fees
Look at the approval delay, the per-coin caps and who pays the network fee. Sportsbet.io says it covers the withdrawal fee. Cloudbet charges a flat network fee per coin. Bovada needs about 24 hours to approve and caps USDT at $2,500 a week. I have not yet timed a withdrawal at any of these five; results will go on the payout tests page when I do.
The top 5 crypto sportsbooks for the NBA
Ranked on basketball-specific facts from each book’s own terms and on how solid the operator looks on paper. Method and scores: how we rate.
| Book | NBA limit or cap published | US players, per its terms | KYC | Coins |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudbet | €1,000,000 per parlay; large stakes reviewed manually | US excluded | ID at $2,200 cumulative deposits | 29 |
| BetOnline | $30,000 spread, $1,000 props | No restricted list published | Documents on request | 17 |
| Sportsbet.io | €500,000 winnings per 24 h | US excluded | ID at first withdrawal (AML policy) | 14 |
| Bovada | $1,000,000 max payout; per-event “Bet Max” | 19 states plus DC excluded | Data at sign-up, ID if not validated | 6 for withdrawal |
| Shuffle | Not found | US excluded | ID before first withdrawal | 21 |
1. Cloudbet is the most solid operator, outside the US
Cloudbet’s terms exclude the United States and its territories, the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and others, including for withdrawals. If you are elsewhere, it is the book I trust most on paper: a Curaçao licence that checks out on the regulator’s validator, online since 2013, and zero unresolved complaints on casino.guru when I checked. Basketball comes with in-play, Bet Builder and cash-out, and NBA2K sits in its esports menu. It claims “no-limit betting on major markets”; the terms say larger stakes go to manual review and parlays pay at most €1,000,000. It takes 29 coins, charges a flat network fee (3.51 USDT for USDT on Tron), asks for ID at $2,200 of cumulative deposits and says crypto withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours of approval. The 5.8% preseason margin above is the weak spot. See the Cloudbet review.
2. BetOnline publishes its NBA limits
BetOnline prints its limits in the help centre: $30,000 on an NBA game spread, $1,000 on basketball props and futures, $5,000 on parlays and teasers, with a re-bet allowed every time the odds move or every 61 seconds. The menu has Live Betting, Prop Shop, Same Game Parlays and Odds Boosters. Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and USDC withdrawals have no maximum; Bitcoin is free, the others cost $1.50 to $25 by amount, and crypto can take up to 24 hours. The limits: $150,000 per parlay, $250,000 in winnings per 24 hours. It states a Panama licence with no number, publishes no list of restricted countries or states, and received cease-and-desist letters from Michigan and Massachusetts in 2025. SportsBetting.ag publishes the identical NBA limit table if you want a second account. Full details in the BetOnline review.
3. Sportsbet.io publishes the NBA winnings cap
Sportsbet.io caps NBA winnings at €500,000 per 24 hours, stake excluded, with VIPs “as agreed”. It lists basketball, eBasketball, live streaming on selected events, price boosts and American odds. It says it covers the withdrawal fee; the minimum USDT withdrawal is 20, and very large balances are paid in weekly instalments of up to 1,000,000 USDT. Its Anjouan licence is valid on the register until September 2027. Two things to know: its 46-country restricted list includes the US, the UK, Australia, Spain and Italy, and its pages contradict each other on ID, with the home page saying checks start above €2,500 while the AML policy says first withdrawal, any amount. Plan for the stricter one. casino.guru rates its complaint ratio “Bad” and Trustpilot shows 1.2. Read the Sportsbet.io review.
4. Bovada is the US-facing pick with a tight crypto cashier
Bovada has Prop Builder, Parlay Booster, live betting, cash-out on singles and parlays, a $0.50 minimum bet and a $1,000,000 maximum sportsbook payout. Per-bet maximums show only through the “Bet Max” button on each event. Its terms exclude 19 states plus DC: DE, MD, NJ, NV, NY, MI, CO, DC, CT, WV, OH, KS, PA, LA, MA, TN, AZ, NH, VT and RI. Approval takes about 24 hours, then up to 24 hours for Bitcoin and up to an hour for other coins; USDT and Ethereum are capped at $2,500 a week, Bitcoin at $90,000, with no fee from Bovada. Its footer names two licensing authorities and no licence number. See the Bovada review.
5. Shuffle has the builder and the shortest track record
Shuffle lists basketball with pre-match, in-play, live streams, player props, Same-Game Multis, cash-out and boosted odds. It takes 21 assets, including USDT on five networks, and claims 90% of withdrawals arrive in under a minute with fees typically under $1; its terms, however, promise no processing time. ID is required before the first withdrawal, and every deposit must be wagered once unless you withdraw back to the same address. It excludes the US, the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain and others. It has a Curaçao licence I verified, but casino.guru dates it only to 2023, rates it 4.8 “Low” over withheld winnings relative to its size, and Trustpilot has suspended its rating over fake reviews. I did not find a published sports payout cap. More in the Shuffle review.
What I could not verify
Basketball margins on any regular-season line, since the season has not started. Prop and same-game parlay margins anywhere. A restricted list at BetOnline. Stake has a big sportsbook, but its terms and restricted list were not readable from my locations, so it is not ranked. Rollbit and Linebet are on the Shit List and stay out. Every book I have reviewed is in the crypto sportsbooks category; the USDT page shows who takes stablecoins on which network.
Bet like an adult
A sport that plays almost every night from October to April makes a habit easy to build. Set a budget for the month in dollars, not coins. Do not bet late games to win back early ones. Treat a parlay as entertainment with a price, not a plan. Use the tools the books offer: Bovada has monthly deposit limits, cooling-off and permanent closure. Do not bet from a country a book excludes: Sportsbet.io’s terms confiscate winnings from accounts in restricted jurisdictions. If it stops being fun, the responsible gambling page lists help lines and blocking tools. 18+ only, and only where it is permitted for you.
