Bet365 alternatives for crypto bettors
Crypto sportsbooks for people who bet with bet365 or were limited by it: Cloudbet, Sportsbet.io, 20Bet, 22Bet, Thunderpick and Roobet by licence, coins, maximum wins, ID triggers and limit clauses. All of them exclude the UK. bet365 facts come from the regulator's register only.

If you bet with bet365 and want to bet in crypto, the books I have reviewed that publish usable sportsbook terms are Cloudbet, Sportsbet.io, 20Bet and 22Bet, with Thunderpick for esports and Roobet as a casino-first option. Every one of them excludes the United Kingdom in its own terms or licence, so for a UK bet365 customer they are not an alternative at all. I could not read bet365’s own help pages: they refused my tools in October 2026. Everything this page says about bet365 therefore comes from the UK Gambling Commission’s public register, and the rest comes from the alternatives’ own terms.
What the regulator’s record says about bet365
On the Gambling Commission’s register, the trading name bet365 and the domain bet365.com sit under Hillside (UK Sports) ENC, account 55148, with a head office in Malta. It holds a remote licence for real-event and virtual-event betting and pool betting (055148-R-331498-002), active since 17 October 2019. A second licensee, Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC (account 55149), holds the remote casino licence under the same trading name and domain.
The register also records a settlement dated 4 April 2024. After a compliance assessment in March 2022, the Commission found failings in anti-money-laundering processes between May 2021 and July 2022 and in customer interaction between October 2021 and September 2022. The sports licensee paid £239,085 in lieu of a financial penalty and the gaming licensee £343,035.
What I could not read: bet365’s payment methods, withdrawal times, maximum payouts and stake limits. So this page does not say whether bet365 accepts crypto, how fast it pays or how it limits accounts. Check the cashier in your own account for that.
What changes when you leave a UK-licensed book
A GB licensee works under the Commission’s rules. A crypto book licensed in Curaçao or Anjouan works under its own terms. The differences that matter to a bettor:
- ID: UK licensees must verify your age and identity before you gamble. Cloudbet asks once cumulative deposits reach USD 2,200; Sportsbet.io’s AML policy asks on the first withdrawal “regardless of amount”.
- Withdrawals: the Commission says you can withdraw without unreasonable delay and don’t have to take your money in instalments. Sportsbet.io pays very large balances in weekly instalments of up to 1,000,000 USDT, and 20Bet caps withdrawals at €4,000 a day.
- Bonuses: since 19 January 2026 UK wagering is capped at 10 times and offers may not mix betting with casino. The crypto books set their own multiples.
- Your balance: a UK licensee must tell you whether your funds are not protected, or have medium or high protection, if it goes bust. I found no such rating at the books below.
- Complaints: in the UK you can take a stalled complaint to a free, independent ADR provider after eight weeks. At a crypto book, the complaint usually ends with the operator.
The full comparison with regular bookies covers each of these with sources.
The alternatives, by what they publish
| Book | Licence, as I checked it | Coins | Menu | Published maximum | ID trigger |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudbet | Curaçao, OGL/2024/328/0599, active on the regulator’s validator | 29 in the terms | 25 sports plus esports | €1,000,000 on multis; no withdrawal maximum published | USD 2,200 cumulative deposits |
| Sportsbet.io | Anjouan, ALSI-202509076-FI2, valid on the public register | 14 | 34 sports plus racing | €1,000,000 per 24 h on top football, down to €50,000 | First withdrawal (AML policy) |
| 20Bet | Curaçao, OGL/2024/590/0758, active on the validator | Not published before login | 40+ sports and esports | €100,000 per bet, €250,000 per day | Mandatory at €2,000; FAQ says first withdrawal |
| 22Bet | No licence on the site; Kahnawake lists Starsten Limited as permit holder for 22bet.com | 15 account currencies | 2,100 football events on the day, esports | 60,000 per bet | “Certain sum”, not published |
| Thunderpick | Anjouan, ALSI-202501018-FI1, valid on the validator | 11 | 14 sports, 18 esports titles | Withdrawals €100,000 a week | Before withdrawals, no threshold |
| Roobet | Curaçao, OGL/2024/687/0427, stated by the operator, not verified by me | 11 for withdrawals | 9 sports, 4 esports, streams | None published | “At any time”, no threshold |
All figures come from the operators’ pages read on 5 and 6 October 2026. None of the reviews has a timed withdrawal yet.
Cloudbet
The closest to a bettor’s book among the six. Its Curaçao licence is active on the validator, casino.guru gives it a Safety Index of 9.2 with no unresolved complaints, and the welcome offer is cash drops and rakeback that it says carry no rollover. Against that, its margins were not low when I read them: 6.8% and 6.5% on two Nations League matches, 5.8% on an NBA preseason spread. Its terms say crypto withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours of approval.
Sportsbet.io
The cheapest prices I read: an overround of 1.35% to 1.49% on five top-league matches for 10 October. The catch is reputation. casino.guru rates its complaint ratio “Bad”, with titles about confiscated winnings, and Trustpilot shows 1.2 from 280 reviews. Live support runs 08:00–00:30 GMT with a chatbot outside those hours.
20Bet
Wide menu, a 4.1% overround on the two Nations League totals I read, and a sports welcome of 100% up to €100 at 5x the bonus on multiples. The ceilings bind sooner than elsewhere: €4,000 a day, €10,000 a week and €40,000 a month in withdrawals, unless you are VIP. Verification within two weeks is mandatory once it is requested, or the account closes and winnings go.
22Bet
Deep football coverage and a 5.3% to 5.4% overround on the Premier League prices I read. Two lines in its own documents matter for crypto users: “All types of bonuses are disabled for cryptocurrency accounts”, and the terms say withdrawals are processed within five business days. The site as served to me showed no licence statement or company name.
Thunderpick
The esports specialist: 18 titles and 454 events on the day I checked, plus a Telegram bot. I list it with a warning. casino.guru gives it a Safety Index of 2.9 and counts 11 of 22 complaints unresolved, several about closed accounts and confiscated funds. Its CS2 and LoL lines carried about 8.5% overround.
Roobet
A casino first, with a live sportsbook, esports streams for selected events and six odds formats. Its terms bar sportsbook bets while a deposit-bonus wagering requirement is active, and Trustpilot shows 2.6, with account closures among the complaints.
Prices: the same match at two crypto books
For Aston Villa–Brentford, read on 6 October 2026, Sportsbet.io showed 2.76 / 3.70 / 2.62 and 22Bet 2.625 / 3.48 / 2.595. By my calculation that is a 1.4% overround against 5.4%. On Chelsea–Bournemouth the gap was the same: 1.4% against 5.3%. Two crypto books, same fixture, four points apart. I have no bet365 price for those matches because I could not open its site, so I make no claim about how it compares. The lesson is to compare the fixture you want to bet, at the moment you bet it.
If bet365 limited your stakes
I have no bet365 document on how it limits accounts, so I can’t tell you why yours was limited. What the regulator does say applies to any GB book: a gambling business “is free to decide who they accept bets from, and on what terms”, and ADR providers do not take complaints about a refused bet.
Moving to crypto changes the ceiling and the paperwork, not that right. The alternatives keep it in writing:
- 22Bet can limit stakes for certain customers “without any notification or giving reasons”.
- Cloudbet advertises “no throttling or ticket rejections” on major markets, yet its terms send bets above the automatic acceptance level to manual review.
- Sportsbet.io’s maximum stake “depends on what the site accepts at the time”.
- Thunderpick sets a limit per odds that resets when the price moves, and its bonuses are for “recreational bettors only”.
If being limited is your reason to move, read the limit clause before the welcome offer.
Where each one says it is not available
These are the operators’ own lists, quoted as published. I do not say where betting with any of them is lawful.
- Cloudbet (T&C 7.1.3, by physical location, withdrawals included): Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and its territories, among 20-plus entries.
- Sportsbet.io: 46 jurisdictions, including Australia, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
- 20Bet: 55 entries at registration, including Australia, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom and the United States; the casino section adds Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal.
- 22Bet: 19 countries, including Belgium, Cyprus, France, Malta, the United Kingdom and the United States.
- Thunderpick: its terms list Curaçao, the Netherlands and the USA; its Anjouan licence also excludes Australia, France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
- Roobet (§3.5): 25 territories, including Australia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Breaking a restriction has consequences at withdrawal. Sportsbet.io confiscates winnings on accounts from restricted jurisdictions and returns the balance, and 20Bet treats picking a false country at registration as grounds to confiscate winnings. The VPN guide explains why a VPN does not fix this. Crypto brands do leave the UK when the regulator steps in: Stake’s GB site, run by a white-label licensee, shut by 11 March 2025, per a Commission notice.
Before you move money
- Check the book’s restricted list for where you physically are, in the current terms.
- Read the maximum stake, maximum win and withdrawal caps for the size you bet.
- Find the ID trigger, and have documents ready before you need a payout.
- Price two or three books on the same fixture before you settle on one.
- Read the bonus multiple and whether it applies to crypto accounts at all, then run it through the wagering calculator.
- Withdraw winnings rather than storing them at a book no UK regulator supervises.
The short version
bet365’s UK side is licensed by the Gambling Commission through Hillside (UK Sports) ENC; I could not read its own pages, so I say nothing about its crypto policy or limits. Among the crypto books I have reviewed, Cloudbet has the strongest record, Sportsbet.io the sharpest prices I read, and 20Bet and 22Bet the widest menus, each with its own caps. All of them exclude the UK. US readers should see the US guide, and the crypto sportsbooks list has every reviewed book.

Questions people ask
Does bet365 accept crypto deposits?
I could not check: bet365's help pages refused my tools in October 2026, and I do not answer from memory. The payment methods offered to you are listed in your own bet365 cashier. The alternatives on this page publish their coin lists in their terms or help centres.
Which sites are similar to bet365 for crypto bettors?
Among the books I have reviewed: Cloudbet (Curaçao licence active on the validator, 29 coins, 25 sports), Sportsbet.io (34 sports, the lowest Premier League margins I read), 20Bet and 22Bet (wide menus) and Thunderpick for esports. Each restricts the UK, and several restrict Australia and much of the EU.
Can I use a crypto sportsbook from the UK?
The six books on this page list the United Kingdom as restricted in their own terms or licence. Whether a site may serve GB customers is shown on the Gambling Commission's public register, which is the place to check before depositing anywhere.
Which crypto sportsbook has the highest maximum payout?
Of the books on this page, Cloudbet caps multis at €1,000,000 and Sportsbet.io pays up to €1,000,000 per 24 hours on top football. 20Bet caps wins at €100,000 per bet and 22Bet at 60,000 per bet; Roobet publishes no maximum.
Will a crypto sportsbook limit my stakes?
It can. 22Bet may limit stakes "without any notification or giving reasons", Sportsbet.io's maximum stake depends on what it accepts at the time, and Cloudbet sends bets above its automatic acceptance level to manual review. In the UK, the regulator says any bookmaker is free to decide whose bets it accepts.
