Why your crypto casino withdrawal is “pending”: the 7 real reasons
Pending is one label for seven situations: unwagered deposit, verification, bonus terms, review queue, chain fee, wrong network or memo, limits and risk flags. How to tell which one you are in, what to write to support, and when it becomes a Shit List case.

“Pending” is one label for seven different situations, and the first thing to find out is whether the casino has broadcast a transaction. No transaction hash means the hold is on the operator’s side: an unwagered deposit, a verification request, a bonus rule, a review queue or a limit. A hash means the coins have left, and the delay sits on the chain or at the address you gave. This guide takes the seven reasons in the order a cashier meets them, quotes the clause that creates each one, says what to do, and ends with the point where a pending withdrawal stops being a delay and becomes a Shit List case.
Hash or no hash: the two-minute triage
Open the withdrawal in your transaction history and look for a transaction ID or an explorer link. Gamdom’s help centre describes the stages most cashiers share: submission and review, sending, sent, confirmed. Its advice for the last stage is the right one everywhere. If the casino says sent and the explorer shows the transaction still pending, the withdrawal has left the casino and the blockchain needs time to process it.
| What you see | Where the hold is | Reasons to check |
|---|---|---|
| No hash, status “pending” or “in review” | Operator | 1 to 4, and 7 |
| Hash, unconfirmed in the explorer | Chain | 5 |
| Hash, confirmed, nothing in your wallet | Destination | 6 |
| “Paid” in the cashier, no hash available | Operator, and a red flag | Ask for the hash in writing |
Reason 1: the deposit has not been wagered
Almost every crypto cashier I have read requires the deposit to be bet before it can leave. Roobet and Stake require 100% of the deposit to be wagered; Gamdom requires it once and its help centre says the rule “can’t be removed”. Rainbet requires 1x, twice the usual amount with a promotion active (§8.2). Bovada requires all deposits to be wagered completely. Stake calls a deposit withdrawn without bets “coin mixing” and says the withdrawal will be invalid. Thunderpick reserves the right to ask for 5x the deposit if it suspects mixing.
A related gate is the deposit’s own confirmations. Bovada waits until every crypto deposit on the account is confirmed before it processes a crypto withdrawal. Roobet needs one confirmation on BTC, LTC, XRP, TRX and DOGE deposits and three on ETH, USDT and USDC before you can withdraw.
What to do: check the wagering progress bar or ask support for the remaining turnover in writing. One exception worth knowing: Shuffle’s terms (10.2) exempt a crypto withdrawal sent back to the same address and network.
Reason 2: a verification or AML check was triggered
This is the reason behind most “pending for days” threads. Only a few operators publish the trigger; most reserve the right to ask “at any time”.
| Operator | Published trigger | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudbet | Verification required at cumulative deposits of USD 2,200; funds “may be locked” pending verification | T&C 21.1.5 |
| Sportsbet.io | ID on first withdrawal regardless of amount, or at $10,000 of cumulative deposits | AML policy |
| Shuffle | Government ID check before the first withdrawal | ToS 5.1–5.2 |
| Rainbet | Documents may be required “prior to granting any withdrawals”; no threshold | T&C §8.3 |
| Roobet | Withdrawals may be restricted until identification is complete; no threshold | T&C |
| Stake | Documents “at any given time”, including proof of source of income | Help centre |
The deadline cuts both ways. Thunderpick’s terms say a failure to provide documents within 30 days leads to closure and “loss of Winnings”. Answer a document request the day it arrives.
What to do: send exactly what was asked, in the format asked, and ask support to confirm receipt and give an expected review time. Keep copies. If the request moves from ID to proof of address to source of funds to a video call, write the sequence down with dates; that sequence is evidence later.
Reason 3: a bonus is still active
A bonus changes the gate in reason 1 and adds its own. At Rainbet an active promotion doubles the deposit wager, and welcome promo codes carry a maximum withdrawable amount of $50 (§9.2). Bovada’s crypto casino welcome bonus carries 25x on deposit plus bonus, and the codes for later deposits carry 50x. Thunderpick’s casino welcome offer carries 40x on deposit plus bonus and caps bets at 20% of the deposit until it is cleared. The same terms say its bonuses are for recreational bettors only, which leaves the operator room to decide who qualifies.
What to do: look up the bonus terms you accepted, not the current promotions page, and calculate what is left with the wagering calculator. If the bonus cannot realistically be cleared, ask support in writing whether you may forfeit it and withdraw the remaining real-money balance, and what that leaves you. The bonus math guide shows why most of these offers cost more than they pay.
Reason 4: the request is in the operator’s review queue
Many withdrawals are reviewed by a person before they are signed, and operators say so in their own pages if you look.
- Bovada: “about 24 hours for approval”, then up to 24 hours for Bitcoin and up to 1 hour for the other coins.
- Cloudbet (T&C 7.5.11): crypto withdrawals “typically processed within 24-hours of approval, subject to completion of any applicable KYC checks”.
- Stake: larger amounts “may require manual processing by our administrators, which can result in a temporary hold”. No amount is given.
- Wolf.bet (ToS 15): some withdrawals are confirmed manually and “can take up to a few days”.
- Gamdom: most withdrawals processed “within 5 minutes to 1 hour”.
- Shuffle (ToS 7.2) does not warrant processing “within any particular time”.
What to do: wait out the operator’s own stated window before chasing. Then ask support for the request’s status and the name of the queue it is in. “Under review” without a reason after the stated window has passed is the moment to start writing everything down.
Reason 5: the chain, the fee or the payout wallet
Once a hash exists, the speed is set by the network and by the fee attached. On Bitcoin, miners order transactions by fee per byte, and the developer guide warns that a transaction paying only the minimum fee “should be prepared to wait a long time”. Gamdom lets you pick Slow, Standard or Fast, a lower fee being slower to confirm. Gamdom also states that a withdrawal that fails on-chain for technical reasons is returned to your balance automatically.
Players often blame the casino’s “hot wallet”, the online wallet that pays withdrawals. No operator I have read publishes how it funds that wallet. What some do publish is how they pay large amounts: Gamdom may pay large withdrawals “in structured installments”, and Sportsbet.io pays very large balances in weekly instalments of up to 1,000,000 USDT. If your amount is large, an instalment schedule is a published rule, not a delay.
What to do: paste the hash into the chain’s explorer. Unconfirmed with a low fee rate means wait. Confirmed means the operator’s part is done and the next reason applies. A failed transaction should come back to the balance; if it does not, send support the hash.
Reason 6: wrong network, address or memo, or the destination’s own rules
A confirmed transaction that does not show up is almost always a destination problem. Three versions are common.
- Network mismatch. USDT exists on Ethereum, Tron, Solana, BNB Smart Chain and more. Gamdom’s help centre says an unsupported coin or network “may result in lost funds”, and recovery is not guaranteed.
- Missing memo or tag. On the XRP Ledger a destination tag tells an exchange which customer to credit on a shared address; without it, the exchange cannot match the deposit to you.
- The destination’s confirmation count. Roobet’s help page notes that some wallets require a different number of confirmations before they show a withdrawal. Exchanges publish their own tables; Kraken, for example, lists one per coin.
Bovada adds a rule of its own: a fresh wallet address for every crypto withdrawal request. Check that rule before you paste an address you have used there before.
What to do: for a network or memo mistake, contact the receiving side first. The exchange holds the coins and decides whether to recover them. For your own wallets, check you are looking at the right network in the app. Then test with a small amount before you repeat a large withdrawal.
Reason 7: a limit or a risk flag on the account
Caps stretch a payout across days and the cashier rarely explains it. Bovada caps USDT, ETH and BCH at $2,500 a week, allows one request every 15 minutes and says the maximum “may differ per account”. Wolf.bet caps withdrawals at $8,000 a week and $30,000 a month unless agreed (ToS 15). Sportsbet.io holds withdrawals for 48 hours after a password change and runs random “Account Health Checks” that can restrict withdrawals. Winnita’s terms split anything above €250 into €250 requests (§8.16) and can limit withdrawals to €4,450 per 30 days (§8.17).
Risk flags are the other half. Rainbet’s terms (§9.8) allow funds to be confiscated where same-IP accounts are judged abusive; Bovada’s (§6.8) let it void wagers and revoke bonuses for what it considers abuse; Stake and Thunderpick treat coin mixing as in reason 1. A flag is rarely announced; the request just stays where it is.
What to do: ask support two direct questions in writing. Is there a limit on my account, and what is it? Is there an open review or flag, and what does it require from me? A written “no” to both, followed by more silence, is useful later.
What to write to support
Short, factual, in writing, and in a channel that keeps a transcript: email or a ticket rather than live chat alone. One message, every fact:
- Withdrawal request ID, date and time with time zone.
- Amount, coin and network.
- The destination address, and memo or tag if any.
- The transaction hash, or “no hash shown in my history”.
- Documents already sent, with dates.
- The question: what is blocking this request, and by what date will it be resolved?
Ask for a reply to every point. Vague answers such as “it’s with the team” are fine once. Repeated without a date, they are the pattern the next section is about.
When pending becomes a Shit List case
A slow operator is not a scam. The Shit List takes one of four documented things: a withdrawal held beyond any reasonable review window, winnings voided on a rule not enforced before the win, KYC demanded only after a win when deposits went through, or a site going dark with balances inside. My review threshold is three independent documented cases in twelve months, or a revoked or fake licence. Evidence I can check means transaction hashes, support transcripts and timestamps.
The current entries show what the pattern looks like in practice. At Linebet, an Egyptian player’s withdrawal was marked “Paid” but never received, and Linebet answered none of the mediator’s complaints. At Rollbit, a $2,200 withdrawal sat at “Pending – Contact Support” after KYC level 4 until support wrote that the funds were forfeit. At Winnita, a player with €15,000 in “processing” was told to resubmit it as more than 150 small requests. All three are complaints filed with Casino Guru in the last twelve months, and none had been answered by the operator when I read them.
If you get there: keep the transcript, use the licence holder’s complaint route where one exists (the licence guide covers them), file with a mediator, and send me the evidence. The freeze guide lists the clauses operators use to hold balances.
The short version
Find the hash first. No hash: check the wagering, verification, bonus, queue and limits, in that order, and ask support the direct questions in writing. Hash: read the explorer, then check the network, memo and the destination’s confirmation count. Declared times and measured times are in the withdrawals guide and on the payout tests page, and the instant-withdrawal category lists the sites that pay fastest once those tests are in.

Questions people ask
Why is my casino withdrawal still pending?
Usually because a gate before payment is still closed: the deposit has not been wagered, a verification request is open, a bonus is active, the request is in a manual review queue, or the amount breaks a limit. If a transaction hash exists, the delay is on the chain or at the receiving wallet instead.
How long can a casino keep a withdrawal pending?
Operators state their own windows: Gamdom says most withdrawals take 5 minutes to 1 hour, Bovada about 24 hours for approval, Wolf.bet up to a few days for manual confirmations. Verification adds the compliance team's own timeline, which none of them caps in writing. Past the stated window, ask in writing what is blocking the request.
Can I cancel a pending casino withdrawal?
Only while no transaction has been broadcast and only if the cashier offers the option; none of the help pages I read for this guide documents one. Once a hash exists it cannot be reversed, because confirmed crypto transactions can only be refunded by the receiver.
The casino says sent but my wallet shows nothing. What now?
Open the transaction hash in a block explorer. Unconfirmed means a low fee or a busy chain, so wait. Confirmed means the coins have arrived on-chain, so check the network, the memo or tag, and your exchange's confirmation count. If there is no hash at all, the operator has not sent it.
Why does a casino ask for KYC only when I withdraw?
Because most terms allow it at any time and many name the withdrawal as the moment: Rainbet may require documents prior to granting any withdrawals, Shuffle checks ID before the first withdrawal, Sportsbet.io's AML policy requires it on the first withdrawal regardless of amount. KYC demanded only after a win, when deposits went through without it, is one of the Shit List criteria.
When should I report a pending withdrawal?
When the operator's own stated window has passed, your written questions go unanswered or get no date, and you hold the evidence: request ID, transcript, timestamps and any hash. Send it to the regulator's complaint route if one exists, to a mediator, and to me for the Shit List.
