Which coin should you gamble with? USDT on TRC-20 vs BTC vs SOL vs LTC

Stablecoins remove price risk, Litecoin and Solana confirm fastest, Bitcoin is everywhere and slowest. The cashier's own fee decides the network: at Cloudbet, USDT on Tron cost 3.9 USDT to withdraw against 0.0736 on Ethereum.

For play, a dollar stablecoin on a network the casino lists and charges little for is the sensible default: USDT or USDC removes price risk while the balance sits in the cashier. For a fast exit where no cheap stablecoin route exists, Litecoin or Solana beat Bitcoin on confirmation time. The catch most guides miss is that the cheapest network on paper is not always the cheapest at the cashier: on 7 October 2026 Cloudbet’s fee page charged 3.9 USDT to withdraw USDT on Tron and 0.0736 USDT on Ethereum. This guide compares USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC and TRX on fees, speed, price risk and what each cashier accepts. It is about payment mechanics, not about which coin to own.

Four things change when you change coin

  1. The fee you actually pay. The chain has a fee model, and the casino either passes it on, charges a flat amount of its own, or absorbs it.
  2. Time to credit. The chain’s block cadence times the number of confirmations the receiving side waits for.
  3. Price risk while you play. A Bitcoin balance moves with the market whether you bet or not; a dollar stablecoin is designed not to.
  4. What the cashier lists. Coins, networks, minimums and weekly caps differ by site and sometimes by coin on the same site.

The rest of this guide takes them one at a time, with the chain documentation for the mechanics and the operators’ own help pages for the numbers.

Network fees: what the chain charges and what the cashier charges

Each chain prices a transfer differently. These are the mechanics as the projects document them, not live fee levels, which change by the minute.

Coin or network Fee model per the documentation What it means for a casino transfer
Bitcoin (BTC) The fee is relative to the transaction’s size in bytes Cost rises with demand; a low fee waits longer for a block
Litecoin (LTC) Same fee model as Bitcoin Usually cheap, but no fixed price
Ethereum (ETH, ERC-20 tokens) Gas: a protocol base fee that is burned plus a priority tip; a plain ETH transfer uses 21,000 gas, a token transfer is a contract call on top of that USDT or USDC on Ethereum costs more gas than sending ETH itself
Tron (TRX, TRC-20 USDT) Bandwidth covers transaction bytes, Energy covers smart-contract computation; 600 free Bandwidth per account per rolling 24 hours, Energy has no free quota; shortfalls are paid by burning TRX A TRC-20 transfer needs Energy, so the sender either holds staked TRX or burns TRX
Solana (SOL, SPL tokens) Base fee of 5,000 lamports per signature, half burned and half to the validator, plus an optional prioritisation fee 5,000 lamports is 0.000005 SOL

What reaches you is the cashier’s number, not the chain’s. Two operators publish theirs. Stake’s help centre lists a flat withdrawal fee per coin: 1 USDT on USDT, 0.000005 SOL on Solana (exactly the base fee), 0.0734 TRX on Tron, 0.000138 LTC on Litecoin and 0.00001571 BTC on Bitcoin. Its table does not say which network the 1 USDT fee applies to. Cloudbet publishes a fee per coin and per network, and that is where the Tron surprise shows.

USDT network at Cloudbet Minimum withdrawal Withdrawal fee
Ethereum 0.1 USDT 0.0736 USDT
BNB Smart Chain 1 USDT 0.00365 USDT
Polygon 1 USDT 0.00259 USDT
The Open Network (TON) 1 USDT 0.00191 USDT
Solana 20 USDT 0.639 USDT
Tron 5 USDT 3.9 USDT

Read on Cloudbet’s fee page on 2026-10-07. The page says the rates are set by the network and “can fluctuate without notice”, so treat the table as a snapshot.

Why USDT on Tron is not automatically the cheap option

Most comparison pages say “TRC-20 is cheapest” and stop. The Tron documentation explains why that can be wrong for you: a TRC-20 transfer consumes Energy, Energy has no free quota, and an operator without staked TRX pays by burning it. Some operators pass that cost on as a flat fee, and on the day I read it Cloudbet’s Tron fee was the highest of its seven USDT networks. Between your own wallets Tron can still be cheap if you hold staked TRX. At a casino, read the withdrawal screen for the network you plan to use before you deposit on it, because the deposit network usually becomes your withdrawal network.

Confirmation speed: block cadence times the casino’s count

Speed has two parts. The chain sets how often blocks arrive; the receiving side decides how many it waits for. Multiply them and you have the minimum wait, before any human review.

Network Cadence per the documentation Confirmations casinos publish
Bitcoin About every 10 minutes on average, probabilistic 1 at Roobet and Thunderpick; Bovada posts after 1, or 6 if delayed
Litecoin 2.5-minute target block time 1 at Roobet, 6 at Thunderpick
Ethereum and ERC-20 12-second slots 3 at Roobet for ETH, USDT and USDC; 10 at Thunderpick for ETH
Tron and TRC-20 A block every 3 seconds; irreversible once 19 of 27 block producers build on it, typically about 1 minute 1 at Roobet for TRX, 19 at Thunderpick
Solana Slots of 400 to 600 ms, per the RPC provider Helius 1 at Thunderpick

My arithmetic on those counts: Thunderpick’s 19 Tron confirmations take about a minute at 3 seconds a block, and its 6 Litecoin confirmations take about 15 minutes at the 2.5-minute target. One Bitcoin confirmation averages ten minutes and can take much longer, because block discovery is probabilistic. Exchanges apply their own counts when your withdrawal lands there; Kraken, for one, publishes a per-coin table.

Bitcoin has a faster lane where the cashier supports it. The Lightning Network describes payments settling in milliseconds to seconds through channels anchored on Bitcoin. Bovada lists Bitcoin Lightning with a $10 minimum and a $10,000 maximum per withdrawal. None of the other cashiers in this guide list it in the pages I read.

None of this touches the operator’s own queue. Bovada’s help centre quotes about 24 hours for approval before any coin moves, then up to 24 hours for Bitcoin against up to 1 hour for the other coins. The chain is the part you control by choosing a coin. The withdrawals guide covers the rest of the clock.

Price risk while the money sits on the casino

bitcoin.org’s own FAQ says the price of a bitcoin “is still very volatile”. At a casino that matters more than usual, because your money cannot leave the moment you stop playing. Every cashier I have read requires the deposit to be wagered before a withdrawal: 100% at Roobet and Stake, once at Gamdom, completely at Bovada. Shuffle exempts one case in its terms (10.2): a crypto withdrawal back to the same address and network.

The arithmetic is simple and it works in both directions. A balance held in BTC that is worth $1,000 when you deposit is worth $900 after a 10% price fall, before a single losing bet. A stablecoin is designed to remove that term. Tether states that each USDT is pegged 1-to-1 to the dollar and backed by its reserves; that is the issuer’s claim, and the stablecoins guide covers what it does and does not promise.

Cashiers handle the problem in two ways.

  • Per-coin wallets. Your balance stays in the coin you sent. Stake publishes minimums and fees per coin; Gamdom states that coin swapping is not available, so you withdraw in the coin you deposited. Price risk is yours for as long as the balance sits there.
  • Conversion on arrival. Bovada converts crypto deposits to US dollars when they arrive, so the balance stops moving with the market. Thunderpick’s FAQ says all bets are settled in euros. The risk moves to the two conversion moments, and I have not found either operator’s conversion rate or spread published.

If you deposit a volatile coin at a per-coin cashier, you are holding that coin for the whole session. Decide whether you want that position before you decide which game to play.

Which casinos accept which coin and network

Every site below accepts BTC, LTC and USDT. The differences are in the networks and in Solana.

Site USDT networks listed SOL Notes Read on
Stake ERC-20, BEP-20, Polygon, TRC-20, Solana Yes Base, Arbitrum and Optimism not supported 2026-10-07
Cloudbet Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche, Solana, Polygon, Tron, TON Yes Per-network fee table published 2026-10-07
Gamdom ERC-20, TRC-20, BNB Smart Chain Yes Withdraw in the coin you deposited 2026-10-07
Shuffle ERC-20, BEP-20, TRC-20, Polygon, Solana Yes Network fee deducted from the amount 2026-10-06
Thunderpick ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20 Yes Bets settled in EUR 2026-10-06
Sportsbet.io ERC-20, TRC-20, BSC, Polygon Yes Withdrawal minimum 20 USDT 2026-10-06
Roobet Tether listed, networks not published in the help pages Yes Ethereum accepted on Base and Arbitrum too 2026-10-05
Rainbet USDT listed, networks behind the logged-in cashier (not verified) Yes $15 minimum withdrawal 2026-10-05
Bovada ERC-20 only No Converts to USD on arrival; Lightning accepted 2026-10-05

USDC needs one extra check. Circle’s list of native USDC contracts includes Ethereum, Solana, Polygon PoS, Base, Arbitrum and many others, but not Tron or BNB Smart Chain. Some cashiers still list USDC on those two networks: Stake and Gamdom on BNB Smart Chain, Cloudbet on both. The token on those networks is not on Circle’s native list, so know what you are holding before you send it there. The coin pages for USDT, SOL, LTC and BTC list every reviewed site per coin.

Caps and minimums can decide it for you

A coin can be cheap and fast and still be the wrong one, because of how much the cashier lets you take out in one go. Bovada’s limits are the clearest example I have read.

Bovada, per coin Minimum Maximum per request Weekly maximum
Bitcoin $75 $9,500 $90,000
Litecoin $10 $9,500 (the crypto FAQ says $2,500) $180,000
Ethereum $50 $2,500 $2,500
USDT (ERC-20) $50 $2,500 $2,500

Bovada also allows one request every 15 minutes and notes that the maximum “may differ per account”. At Bovada, then, the stablecoin is the slow option for any balance above $2,500, and Litecoin is the fast one. Minimums matter at the other end: Cloudbet’s USDT on Solana starts at 20 USDT, Sportsbet.io’s TRX withdrawals at 200 TRX. Stake states there is no maximum withdrawal amount. Read the limits page for the coin, not the general banking page, before you deposit.

The network on both ends has to match

Tether issues USDT on fourteen chains, among them Ethereum, Tron, Solana, BNB Smart Chain, TON and Avalanche. The same ticker on two chains is two different tokens as far as a deposit address is concerned. Gamdom’s help centre puts the risk plainly: using an unsupported coin or network “may result in lost funds”, and recovery “is not guaranteed”. Stake’s network page lists what it does not support, including Base, Arbitrum and Optimism, while Roobet accepts Ethereum on Base and Arbitrum. The same transfer can work at one site and vanish at the next.

Some coins need a second field. On the XRP Ledger, a destination tag tells an exchange or casino which customer to credit on a shared address. BC.Game’s deposit help says XRP, XLM and EOS deposits need a memo or tag. Leave it out and the coins can arrive with no account to land in. Before every first deposit on a new site:

  1. Copy the network name from the cashier, not just the coin.
  2. Select the same network in your wallet or exchange withdrawal screen.
  3. Copy the memo or tag if the cashier shows one.
  4. Send a small test amount first and wait for it to credit.

My pick by use case

You want Coin and network Why, and the check to make first
Small, frequent sessions USDT or USDC on whichever network the cashier charges least for No price risk; at Cloudbet on 2026-10-07 that was TON, Polygon or BNB Smart Chain, not Tron
A larger balance without market exposure A stablecoin Check the weekly cap per coin; at Bovada USDT stops at $2,500 a week
The fastest exit where stablecoin routes are poor Litecoin or Solana 2.5-minute blocks or sub-second slots; check the casino’s confirmation count
Play with BTC you already hold Bitcoin, Lightning where offered Accept the volatility and the ten-minute average blocks; Lightning only where the cashier lists it
A site that converts to USD on arrival The coin with the cap that fits your balance At Bovada that is LTC or BTC; price risk ends at deposit

Ethereum on mainnet makes sense when the cashier’s fee for it is low on the day, as it was at Cloudbet when I read it. Gas is set by demand, so check again before the next deposit. TRX itself is a reasonable coin for small amounts where the cashier lists it; Sportsbet.io’s 200 TRX minimum shows why “small” depends on the site.

The short version

Use a stablecoin for play and pick the network by the cashier’s own withdrawal fee, not by reputation: Tron was the most expensive USDT route at Cloudbet on the day I checked. Use Litecoin or Solana for speed when stablecoin routes are poor, and Bitcoin when you want to hold Bitcoin anyway. Check the per-coin cap before a large deposit, and match the network and memo on both ends. The crypto casinos and instant-withdrawal categories list the reviewed sites, and the pending guide covers what to do when a withdrawal stalls anyway.

Questions people ask

Which crypto is best for gambling?

For play, a dollar stablecoin on the network the casino charges least for, because the balance does not move with the market while you wager it. For a fast exit where stablecoin routes are poor, Litecoin or Solana. Bitcoin is accepted everywhere but has the slowest blocks and the most price movement.

Is USDT better than Bitcoin for casinos?

For the balance you play with, usually yes: USDT is designed to hold its dollar value while Bitcoin's price moves during the session. For large withdrawals, check the caps first. Bovada limits USDT to $2,500 a week while it allows $90,000 in Bitcoin.

Is TRC-20 the cheapest network for USDT at a casino?

Not always. A TRC-20 transfer consumes Energy, which has no free quota on Tron, and operators pass the cost on in different ways. On 2026-10-07 Cloudbet charged 3.9 USDT to withdraw USDT on Tron and 0.0736 USDT on Ethereum. Read the withdrawal fee for each network before you deposit.

What happens if I send USDT on the wrong network?

The casino may not be able to credit it. Gamdom's help centre says an unsupported coin or network may result in lost funds and recovery is not guaranteed. Copy the network name from the cashier, match it in your wallet, and send a small test first.

Which coin has the fastest casino withdrawals?

On the chain, Tron and Solana confirm in seconds, Litecoin targets 2.5 minutes per block and Bitcoin averages about 10 minutes. The casino's confirmation count and its own review queue come on top: Bovada quotes about 24 hours for approval whatever the coin.

Do crypto casinos charge network fees on withdrawals?

Most pass on a network fee or charge a flat amount per coin. Stake lists 1 USDT for USDT and 0.000005 SOL for Solana; Cloudbet publishes a fee per coin and network; Shuffle deducts the network fee from the amount. The number is shown in the cashier before you confirm.
