1xBet Review
A huge betting menu on a live Curaçao licence, wrapped in fines, a bankruptcy and sanctions, and terms I couldn't read from where I test.
— the Scout

What I like
- Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1262/0493, active on the regulator's validator
- One of the widest menus around: sports, live, esports, virtuals, casino, live casino, poker, bingo, toto
- 24/7 support claimed, with email, phone and a Telegram channel
- More than 50 language versions and over 200 payment systems advertised
What sucks
- Blocked from Italy and the Netherlands: terms, KYC policy, cashier and bonus rules could not be read
- Fined €400,000 by the Dutch regulator (2019); UK white-label site shut after a Times investigation (2019)
- 1xCorp N.V. declared bankrupt over unpaid player claims, upheld by the Supreme Court in January 2023
- India's Enforcement Directorate calls it an illegal platform and has attached about Rs 37 crore in its case
- Three unpaid withdrawals closed unresolved by Casino Guru in 2026; Trustpilot rating suspended
My take
This 1xBet sportsbook review is built differently from my usual ones, and I want that clear from the first line. 1xBet blocks visitors from Italy and the Netherlands, where I test from, so I could not open an account, see the cashier or read the terms. What I could check is the paperwork: a live Curaçao licence, a long list of regulator and court actions, and complaint data. It is one of the biggest sportsbooks on the planet. It is also one of the most sanctioned.

First impressions
My first impression is a block page. From an Italian connection and from my server in Amsterdam, 1xbet.com sends me to an “Access denied” screen that tells me to check my country and my VPN. I don’t use VPNs or mirror domains to get around a block, so I stopped there. The public homepage text is readable from elsewhere, but the terms, the KYC policy, the cashier and the bonus rules load only after the location check. So none of them was read first-hand, and every field that needs them stays empty on this page.
What the homepage does say: 1xBet was founded in 2007, offers support 24/7, claims more than 50 language versions and over 200 payment systems. The rules menu lists separate pages for the terms, KYC, AML, dispute resolution and “Fairness & RNG Testing Methods”. I could see the titles, not the text.
Odds, markets & live betting
The menu is as wide as any sportsbook I have looked at: pre-match and live sports, esports, virtual sports, a casino with live dealers, in-house 1xGames, poker, bingo and toto. Breadth has never been 1xBet’s problem. I could not log in, so I have not measured a single margin, checked a limit or tested cash-out. I won’t guess at them.
One part of the menu deserves a warning. In October 2024 Bellingcat and the football magazine Josimar reported that 1xBet streams and prices hundreds of thousands of amateur matches a year with made-up teams named after famous clubs, and players as young as 14. If a fixture you have never heard of shows up in the live list, that is the context. For crypto books whose terms I could actually read, see my crypto sportsbooks list.
Deposits, withdrawals & KYC
1xBet advertises more than 200 payment systems. I could not see which cryptocurrencies are in that list, on which networks, or with which limits, so this page lists no coins. Follow the Money reported in 2023 that it had traced over 250 crypto wallets linked to 1xBet, with more than three million transactions worth around €4 billion. So crypto clearly moves through 1xBet, but I list coins only from the cashier itself. If you want a book that publishes its coin list, start with my Bitcoin betting sites page.
The KYC policy exists as a page title. Its content did not load for me, so I can’t tell you the threshold or the documents asked. A Curaçao licence obliges the operator to verify customers. Recent Trustpilot reviews keep describing verification demands that arrive after a win, and withdrawals held for weeks.
I haven’t run my own timed payout test here yet. It’s coming, and the tx hash will be on this page. For 1xBet that test needs an account from a country it accepts.
Bonus: the real value
The homepage advertises a 100% bonus on the first deposit. The rules page behind that headline did not load for me, so I have no wagering, no minimum odds, no expiry and no maximum. My standing advice applies: don’t opt into a bonus whose terms you have not read. If you do get the terms, run the numbers through my wagering calculator before you deposit.
Trust & reputation
The licence checks out. The Curaçao Gaming Authority certificate names Caecus N.V. as the operator of 1xbet.com and shows the licence as active. In September 2026 the Curaçao Chronicle, citing documents seen by Follow the Money, reported that the regulator granted it while its own assessors suspected “multiple owners” and were still waiting for ownership information. One more detail from Apple’s App Store: 1xBet’s official apps, including one updated in October 2026, are still published by 1XCorp N.V., the company the Curaçao courts declared bankrupt.
The regulatory record, with dates:
- July 2017: Poland’s Ministry of Finance added 1xbet.com to its register of illegal gambling domains. It now lists almost 200 1xBet-named domains.
- February 2019: the Dutch Kansspelautoriteit fined the companies behind 1xbet.com and xbet-1.com €400,000 for targeting Dutch players without a licence.
- August 2019: the UK-facing 1xBet site, run as a white label under another company’s Gambling Commission licence, was switched off after a Times investigation. Tottenham then ended its deal with the brand, and Liverpool and Chelsea suspended theirs.
- June 2022 to January 2023: 1xCorp N.V. was declared bankrupt in Curaçao on a petition by a players’ foundation over unpaid claims, and the Supreme Court upheld the judgment. 1xBet denied the reports.
- March 2023: Ukraine sanctioned 1xBet’s Ukrainian company and three men named as its founders for 50 years.
- 2025 to March 2026: India’s Directorate of Enforcement attached assets worth about Rs 37 crore in its 1xBet case and called it an illegal platform “operating in India without authorization”.
Player sentiment is no comfort. Trustpilot has suspended 1xBet’s rating for a breach of its guidelines and says it removed fake reviews. Of about 8,600 reviews, 73% give one star. Casino Guru’s complaint centre lists 445 cases for 1xBet: 117 resolved, 288 rejected and 11 unresolved. Three of the unresolved ones, filed between March and August 2026, are withdrawals that were cancelled or never arrived. In one, three bank withdrawals already marked “approved” were cancelled after 12 days, and the mediator called the casino’s reason unreasonable. Compared with Cloudbet or 20Bet, the gap is not the product, it is everything around it.
Who should bet at 1xBet
The bettor in a country 1xBet openly serves who wants the widest market menu around and accepts the regulatory baggage that comes with it.
The niche-sports punter who needs odds on events most books ignore, and who will read the terms in full before depositing.
Not for you if you are in a country it blocks, if you want a book with a clean record, or if you can’t afford a withdrawal stuck in verification. My sites like 1xBet page lists books whose terms I could read.
1xBet sportsbook review: bottom line
1xBet holds an active Curaçao licence and a huge menu. Its regulatory record is the longest I have written up, and from where I sit I couldn’t check the terms that would decide your withdrawal.
1xBet FAQ
Is 1xBet legit?
1xbet.com holds an active Curaçao Gaming Authority licence (OGL/2024/1262/0493, Caecus N.V.). It also carries a €400,000 Dutch fine (2019), a Curaçao bankruptcy ruling over unpaid players upheld in January 2023, Ukrainian sanctions on its founders and an Indian money-laundering case. Licensed, yes. Clean, no.
Does 1xBet require KYC?
1xBet publishes a KYC policy, but its text did not load from my locations, so I can't quote a threshold. A Curaçao licence obliges the operator to verify players, and recent Trustpilot reviews often describe document requests after a win.
How fast are 1xBet withdrawals?
I could not test it: the site blocks Italy and the Netherlands, where I test from. Casino Guru closed three 2026 withdrawal complaints against 1xBet as unresolved, including three approved bank withdrawals cancelled after 12 days. I will add a timed test with the tx hash when I can run one legally.
Which countries can't use 1xBet?
1xBet shows an "Access denied" page in countries on its banned list, including Italy and the Netherlands from what I saw. The full list sits in terms I could not read, so check your local law before you sign up.
Why was 1xBet banned in the UK?
1xBet never held its own UK licence. Its UK site ran as a white label under FSB Technology's licence and was switched off in August 2019 after a Times investigation into its advertising and markets. Several Premier League clubs dropped their deals with it soon after.
What are the best 1xBet alternatives?
Crypto sportsbooks with readable terms, a published coin list and a cleaner record. My ranked list is at /sites-like/1xbet/.
Is 1xBet available in Canada?
I can't tell from its terms, which did not load from my locations, so I don't know whether Canada is on its banned list. What I can see: 1xBet is not among the 84 sites in iGaming Ontario's directory or on Alberta's list of registered sites, and no 1xBet app came up in Apple's Canadian App Store on 12 October 2026. The iOS apps I found in other stores are published by 1XCorp N.V. Be wary of APK files from third-party sites.
