BetUS Review
A deep, old-school US sportsbook with real phone support, but full KYC before payouts, a Mwali licence and a bonus that rarely pays.
— the Scout

What I like
- 25 sport categories with politics, entertainment, financials, props builder, same-game parlays and live streaming
- 24/7 phone, chat and email support, with bets and payouts possible by phone
- Five cryptocurrencies plus Bitcoin Lightning, $10 minimum deposit and withdrawal
- Casino.guru Safety Index 8.9 with 15 complaints in total and no unfair terms found
- Sportsbook, casino, poker tournaments and racebook on one account since 1994
What sucks
- Only licence is from the Mwali International Services Authority, which the Comoros central bank calls a fictitious structure
- Government ID and card copies required before payouts, whatever you deposit with
- No per-coin withdrawal limits or crypto payout times published
- Sports bonus needs 18x within 7 days, with a rollover basis the help centre defines two ways
- Michigan and Florida ordered it out in 2025, yet the terms list no restricted US state
My take
This BetUS sportsbook review starts where the brand’s marketing ends: with the licence PDF in the footer. BetUS has taken bets since 1994, runs 25 sport categories with props, politics and live streaming, and keeps a phone line open 24/7. Its only licence comes from the Mwali International Services Authority on a Comoros island, issued to Milvus Ltd, and every first payout needs a government ID. If you bet US sports in crypto and want a book with history and human support, BetUS works. If you want light KYC or a regulator with teeth, look elsewhere.

First impressions
BetUS looks like a US sports network that happens to take bets. The home page leads with celebrity banners, a twelve-offer bonus carousel and a strip for live betting, odds boosts, props builder, same-game parlays and live streaming. There is a Locker Room with picks and a BetUS TV channel. It is loud, but it loads fast and the betting menu is two clicks away.
Registration asks for your contact details and full legal address, and you can also open an account by phone. That phone line is the real differentiator: deposits, payouts and even wagers can be placed through a human, a habit from the call-centre era that BetUS never dropped. There is no app; BetUS warns that any “BetUS” app in the stores is not theirs.
Odds, markets & live betting
The sportsbook menu lists 25 categories. The US core is deep: NFL and college football with game props, season wins and awards, MLB with series prices, NHL, NBA and college basketball. Soccer runs to more than 60 leagues, from the Premier League to the Bolivian top flight. Then the BetUS specialities: politics markets for dozens of countries, entertainment, novelty and even financials. Esports have their own rule book.
I have not measured BetUS margins against a competitor on a named league, so there is no juice claim here. What the rules do say matters more for winners. BetUS can refuse or limit any wager, sets overnight limits that rise closer to kick-off, and voids bets placed by syndicates or other bookmakers. Same-game football parlays and teasers are refused when the spread is a third of the total or more. No maximum payout per bet is published, so ask before you load a big parlay.
The terms also call every feature “intended for recreational play” and allow restrictions on bonuses and withdrawal options for accounts judged non-recreational. If you beat closing lines for a living, the crypto sportsbooks category has books that are friendlier to that.
Deposits, withdrawals & KYC
BetUS lists Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ethereum on its About page, and its help centre has guides for Tether and Bitcoin Lightning deposits. Cards work too, with a processing fee on the first three card deposits. The minimum deposit is $10 and the minimum withdrawal is also $10.
What BetUS does not publish is the number crypto bettors want: per-coin withdrawal limits and times. The help centre says most payouts are processed in under 24 hours and some in under an hour. Another article mentions a daily limit “from $100 to $3,000” without naming a method, and the terms warn that some payout methods carry a fee. Card depositors face a 72-hour hold, and every deposit must be wagered once before it can leave. I haven’t run my own timed payout test here yet. It’s coming, and the tx hash will be on this page.
KYC is full. The terms require a valid signed government ID plus front and back copies of every card used “prior to payout requests”, regardless of deposit method, and allow KYC checks “at any stage”. The help centre repeats it: all players send documents before payouts. Review takes from minutes to a couple of days, and once approved you do not resend unless the ID expires. BetUS is a full-KYC book, so it stays out of my no-KYC list. A VPN to dodge the country list means closure and forfeited winnings.
Bonus: the real value
The crypto welcome offer (code JOIN200) splits a 200% match into two wallets: 150% for sports up to $1,500 at 18x, and 50% for the casino up to $1,250 at 30x. Minimum deposit $50, maximum release $5,000, and the whole thing expires in seven days. It must be requested within 48 hours of the deposit.
The maths is tight. Deposit $1,000 and you get $1,500 of sports bonus. If the 18x applies to the bonus only, that is $27,000 of action; if it applies to deposit plus bonus, $45,000. The help centre gives both definitions on the same page. Assuming standard -110 pricing, the first case costs about $1,230 in expected hold against a $1,500 bonus, so it barely pays; the second costs about $2,045 and loses money. All of it in a week, with MLB and NCAA action counting half. Run your own numbers in the wagering calculator.
The casino half is worse: 30x on the bonus, then 30x again on the released amount, with live dealer, craps and roulette excluded. Unused casino bonuses vanish when you request a payout. My advice: skip the welcome bonus unless you already bet $25,000 a week, and ask support in writing which rollover basis applies before you opt in.
Trust & reputation
BetUS is real and old: it has paid US bettors for three decades and answers almost every negative review. Casino Guru gives it a Safety Index of 8.9, “High”, found no unfair terms, counts 15 complaints with two unresolved, and lists the Mwali licence as verified. Trustpilot shows 3.8 from about 3,560 reviews: 69 percent five stars, 19 percent one star, the latter mostly rollover traps, document requests and limits on winning players.
Regulation is the weak part. The licence comes from the Mwali International Services Authority, and the Central Bank of the Comoros has publicly listed that body among structures with no authority to license banks and financial firms. That warning does not cover gaming licences by name, but it tells you how much a Mwali seal is worth in a dispute. The paperwork does not even agree with itself: the terms cite Mwali and Netherlands Antilles law, the sports rules cite the Government of Costa Rica.
US regulators have noticed. The Michigan Gaming Control Board ordered BetUS out of the state in May 2025, noting it is licensed only in Mwali, and Florida sent Milvus Ltd a cease-and-desist in February 2025. Yet the terms still list no US state as restricted. Check your own state’s law; BetUS will not do it for you.
Who should play at BetUS
The phone-first US bettor who likes a human account manager, props and politics markets, and pays in Bitcoin or Litecoin.
The futures and novelty fan who wants season wins, awards and election odds next to the NFL card, and does not need a bonus.
Not for you if you want to bet without sending ID, need published crypto limits, or bet sharp. Bovada publishes its per-coin limits and asks for documents less often; Roobet is the crypto-native option outside the US. The full list is in sites like BetUS and the US-friendly category.
Bottom line
BetUS is a deep, thirty-year-old US-facing sportsbook with real human support, a Mwali licence worth little in a dispute and a welcome bonus that rarely pays: bet the menu, skip the match.
BetUS FAQ
Is BetUS legit?
It is a real operator that has taken bets since 1994, scores 8.9 (High) on casino.guru and answers 95% of negative Trustpilot reviews. Its only licence is from the Mwali International Services Authority (Comoros), issued to Milvus Ltd, a body the Central Bank of the Comoros lists as having no authority over financial licences. Legit in practice, thinly regulated on paper.
Does BetUS require ID to withdraw?
Yes. The terms require a valid signed government ID and front and back copies of every card used before payout requests, regardless of deposit method. Review takes from a few minutes to a couple of days and is not repeated unless the ID expires.
How long do BetUS payouts take?
BetUS says most withdrawals are processed in under 24 hours and some in under an hour. It does not publish per-coin limits or times. Card depositors face a 72-hour hold, and deposits must be wagered once before withdrawal. I have not timed a payout myself yet.
Is the BetUS crypto bonus worth it?
Rarely. The sports part is 150% up to $1,500 at 18x and expires in 7 days; the help centre applies the rollover to the bonus in one sentence and to deposit plus bonus in another. At -110 pricing it is roughly break-even at best. The casino part needs 30x twice.
Which countries can't use BetUS?
The terms prohibit Belgium, Costa Rica, Croatia, Curaçao, France, Germany, India, Iran, Norway, the Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, Panama, the Philippines, Romania, Slovenia and the UK. Dozens more can register but cannot use cards or crypto. No US state is listed, but Michigan and Florida regulators have ordered BetUS to stop serving their residents.
Does BetUS have a maximum payout per bet?
BetUS does not publish one. Its rules let it limit the maximum stake before accepting any wager, set lower overnight limits and void bets by syndicates. Ask support for the limit on a specific market before placing a large parlay.
What are the best BetUS alternatives?
Crypto sportsbooks with a published KYC threshold, published withdrawal limits or a licence you can check on a regulator's register. My ranked list is at /sites-like/betus/.
Can Canadians use BetUS?
They can register: Canada is not on the BetUS list of prohibited countries. It is one of 46 countries whose players cannot fund an account by card, while crypto is not restricted for them, and the terms name no Canadian province. BetUS is not in iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated sites, and Ontario's regulator calls sites outside that market unregulated. Michigan and Florida regulators have already ordered BetUS to stop serving their residents.
