BitStarz Review

Tested 6 Oct 2026 · Licence Curaçao · Since 2014

A verified, long-running slot casino with 12 coins, fee-free payouts and a clean complaint record; the 40x bonus is ordinary and there is no sportsbook.

My take

This BitStarz review covers one of the oldest names in crypto gambling: online since 2014, run by Gareton B.V. under a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence I could verify, and still mixing Bitcoin with euros and dollars in one cashier. It has about 5,500 games, 12 coins, no withdrawal fees and a stated 10-minute average cash-out. The welcome package is a standard 40x deal, KYC has no published threshold, and the restricted list runs to roughly 70 countries. If you want a big, slot-heavy casino with a clean record, this is a safe shortlist pick.

First impressions

BitStarz loads fast and looks like what it is: a slot casino that has been polishing the same formula for twelve years. The home page leads with a “biggest wins in 24 hours” feed, a wall of industry awards and a Tesla giveaway. Marketing aside, the basics are in the footer where they belong: operator name, company number, licence number and a seal that opens a working certificate on the regulator’s site. The terms are long but readable, and they even ask whether they sound too bureaucratic.

Games & sportsbook

The studio page counted 5,514 games from 76 studios on the day I checked. That is fewer than the “6,500+” in the site’s own search snippet, so trust the lobby. BGaming, Evolution, Hacksaw, NetEnt, Playtech, Yggdrasil, ELK and Big Time Gaming are all there. Live tables come from Evolution and Plati+. The 18 BitStarz Originals cover crash, plinko, mines, keno, tower and blackjack. BitStarz also explains how most BGaming titles can be verified as provably fair, with seed and hash details per game. There is no sportsbook. If you want one wallet for slots and sports, look at my crypto sportsbooks list instead; for more slot-first sites, see crypto slots.

Deposits, withdrawals & KYC

The cashier takes 12 coins: Bitcoin (Lightning included), Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, BNB, TRON, Solana, USDT and USDC. Fiat players get euros, dollars, yen and four other currencies. Minimum deposits are 0.0001 BTC or 10 USDT. Crypto withdrawals start at €50 and go up to €50,000 per transaction. BitStarz says neither it nor its processor charges a withdrawal fee. It also claims an average cash-out time of 10 minutes, though big wins are first checked with the game provider and can be paid monthly. Every deposit must be played through once. I haven’t run my own timed payout test here yet. It’s coming, and the tx hash will be on this page.

KYC is discretionary. There is no amount trigger in the terms. Instead, the payments team can ask for ID, proof of address and proof of payment during any withdrawal, and may phone you. If they can’t reach you within two weeks, the account is locked. Accounts idle for six months pay at least €5 a month.

Bonus: the real value

The first deposit gets 100 percent plus 180 free spins, credited in daily batches of 20. Deposits two to four add up to €400 or 4 BTC, for €500 or 5 BTC in total. Every bonus carries 40x wagering on the bonus amount, a €5 maximum bet and a 7-day expiry. Table and live games count only 5 percent. On a €100 bonus that is €4,000 of slot play in a week. At a 96 percent RTP, my rough expected loss on that play is about €160, more than the bonus itself. The wagering calculator does the same sum for any amount. Take it for the free spins and the entertainment, not as free money, and note that players from Austria, Finland and much of the Balkans are excluded from promotions.

Trust & reputation

The CGA certificate shows the licence active since July 2024. Casino Guru rates BitStarz 9.8, “Very high”, estimates revenue above $100 million a year and finds no unfair terms. Of 195 complaints, only 1 is unresolved. Trustpilot gives 4.3 from 5,432 reviews, and BitStarz replies to 94 percent of the negative ones within about three days. The complaints that do appear are the usual ones: closed accounts and confiscated winnings, mostly rejected after review. Next to younger brands like Rainbet or Roobet, BitStarz has the longer track record.

Who should play at BitStarz

The slot player who wants thousands of titles, tournaments and a casino with a long, clean complaint record.

The mixed fiat and crypto player who wants euros and Bitcoin in one account with no withdrawal fees.

Not for you if you want sports betting, a no-KYC promise or live in one of the restricted countries; see my sites like BitStarz page or the crypto casinos list.

Bottom line

BitStarz is a long-running, verified crypto casino with fee-free payouts and an ordinary 40x bonus; see BitStarz’s official site if a slot-first casino is what you want.

BitStarz FAQ

Is BitStarz legit?

BitStarz has operated since 2014 and is run by Gareton B.V. under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/165/0185, which the CGA certificate shows as active. Casino Guru rates it 9.8 with one unresolved complaint out of 195, and Trustpilot shows 4.3 from about 5,400 reviews.

Does BitStarz require KYC?

Not at sign-up. The terms let the payments team ask for ID, proof of address and proof of payment during any withdrawal if they deem it necessary, and they may call you. No amount threshold is published.

How fast are BitStarz withdrawals?

BitStarz says its average cash-out time is under 10 minutes and that it charges no withdrawal fees. Big wins are checked with the game provider first and can be paid in monthly instalments. I have not timed a payout myself yet.

What is the BitStarz welcome bonus?

100% plus 180 free spins on the first deposit, then up to €400 or 4 BTC over the next three deposits, for €500 or 5 BTC in total. Bonuses carry 40x wagering, a €5 max bet and expire after 7 days.

Which countries can't use BitStarz?

The terms list around 70 restricted countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Brazil, Russia and Ukraine. Using a VPN to get around blocks can lead to confiscated winnings.

What are the best BitStarz alternatives?

Crypto casinos with a sportsbook, lighter wagering or availability in your country. My ranked list is at /sites-like/bitstarz/.

Does BitStarz have a no deposit bonus or free spins without a deposit?

I found no 100, 50 or 30 no-deposit spin offer on its bonus pages. The spins BitStarz advertises are the 180 of the welcome package, which needs a first deposit: they arrive in daily batches of 20 once that deposit is wagered within 24 hours, and their winnings carry 40x. The bonus terms do cover no-deposit bonuses, and cap their winnings at €100.

Can US players use BitStarz or its free spins?

No. The United States and Puerto Rico are on the restricted list in section 3.6 of BitStarz's terms, so there is no US bonus or free-spin offer, whatever a code site says. Section 4.3 adds that using a VPN to get around a block is strictly prohibited and may lead to confiscation of winnings.

Is there a BitStarz bonus code for Germany?

I found no code requirement on the bonus pages: the welcome package is listed as up to €500 or 5 BTC plus 180 free spins at 40x. Germany is not on BitStarz's restricted list or on its promotions exclusion list, which does name Austria, Finland, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

Can Canadian players use BitStarz?

Canada is not among the roughly 70 countries in section 3.6 of BitStarz's terms, and the Canadian dollar is one of its listed currencies, next to euros, US dollars and 12 cryptocurrencies. That is what the terms say, not a legal opinion: check your province's rules yourself. Using a VPN to get around a block is strictly prohibited and may lead to confiscated winnings.

Are there BitStarz promo codes for existing players?

Not on BitStarz's own bonus pages, where I found no code requirement and no 50 or 100 no-deposit spin offer. What regulars get are promotions: Slot Wars (€5,000 plus 5,000 free spins), Table Wars (€10,000), Bonuz Mania, Level Up Adventure and a Telegram tournament. Every bonus carries 40x wagering on the bonus and a €5 maximum bet while you wager, and winnings from any no-deposit bonus are capped at €100. Treat code sites promising more with suspicion.

What are the BitStarz minimum deposit and withdrawal limits?

Deposits start at 0.0001 BTC (Lightning too), 0.005 ETH, 0.075 LTC, 10 USDT or USDC, 0.05 SOL, 20 DOGE, 5 XRP, 0.02 BCH, 30 TRX or 8 ADA. Paysafecard, MiFinity and bank payments take €20 to €4,000, with no fee. Crypto withdrawals run from €50 to €50,000 per transaction, bank transfers up to €4,000. Big wins are checked with the game provider first and can be paid in monthly instalments.
