Melbet Review

My take

This Melbet sportsbook review is written from behind a block page. Melbet sends visitors from Italy and the Netherlands to an “access denied” screen, so I could not open an account, see the cashier or read the terms. The paper trail I could check is mixed. A Curaçao licence is active. Poland has blocked melbet.com since 2018. The Ugandan licensee lost its licence in January 2026. And the complaint record has more unresolved withheld-funds cases this year than I like to see.

First impressions

From an Italian connection and from my Amsterdam server, melbet.com redirects to a block page. I don’t use VPNs, proxies or mirror domains to get around that. The homepage text is readable from outside my locations, and it calls itself “MelBet Global”. The terms, cashier and bonus rules load only after the location check, so I never saw them. Every field that depends on them stays empty here.

The menu is the familiar wide-angle offshore layout: sports from football and cricket to UFC, a live section, crash-style fast games, a casino with slots and live dealers, esports, virtual sports, bingo, toto and poker. There are language versions from Tajik to Mongolian, an agents programme for cash top-ups, and social channels on Instagram, Telegram, YouTube and X. Casino Guru dates the brand to 2012.

Odds, markets & live betting

I couldn’t log in, so I have no margins, limits or cash-out rules to report. The menu is broad, and Melbet’s iOS app, published by Pelican Entertainment B.V., promises live streams, football, basketball, cricket and esports in a long list of languages. Deposits, withdrawals & KYC

The cashier is behind the block. Casino Guru counts 77 payment options for Melbet, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Solana and Litecoin, alongside Pix, UPI and mobile money. The KYC policy is in the terms I couldn’t read. The complaints point one way: withdrawals held during verification, and accounts closed before verification finishes. Trustpilot reviews tell the same story.

Bonus: the real value

I couldn’t read Melbet’s promotion terms, so there is no offer to value here. Casino Guru flags three clauses in the general terms that it calls unfair. Claiming too many bonuses can void winnings, bonus hunting counts as a serious breach, and low-risk play can lead to confiscation. Trust & reputation

The licence checks out. The Curaçao registry lists Pelican Entertainment B.V. under OGL/2024/561/0554 with the status “Indefinite”, and Pelican is the seller of Melbet’s iOS app. One detail from the same store caught my eye. Pelican’s betting-shop card app, MelPass, carries word for word the same description as 1xPass, published by 1XCorp N.V. of 1xBet. In 2022 Ukrainian investigators at Inform Napalm reported that Melbet’s server shared an IP address with a 1xBet mirror. Neither proves common ownership. Both suggest common machinery.

The regulatory record, with dates:

• September 2018: Poland’s Ministry of Finance added melbet.com to its register of illegal gambling domains. It now lists 37 Melbet-named domains.
• January 2026: Uganda’s gaming board announced that Fox Bet Limited, trading as Mel Bet, was no longer licensed. It told players to withdraw their funds and close their accounts.

The complaints are the weak spot. Casino Guru rates Melbet 7.1, “Above average”, but three cases from the past twelve months ended unresolved after the casino didn’t answer. Two were withdrawals the players say never arrived, roughly €800 and €30. The third was a confiscated deposit of roughly €110. Fourteen more cases are open, mostly delayed withdrawals from September 2026. Trustpilot has suspended Melbet’s rating over fake reviews, and 80% of the remaining reviews give one star. For books with a cleaner payout record, compare Cloudbet or 20Bet.

Who should bet at Melbet

The bettor in a market Melbet licenses locally, through a local entity and a local app, who keeps balances small.

The multi-book bettor who uses Melbet for niche markets and withdraws winnings promptly instead of leaving them on account.

Melbet runs on a live Curaçao licence and a wide menu, but it has been on Poland’s blocklist since 2018, has lost its Ugandan licensee, and has unpaid-withdrawal complaints this year that it didn’t answer.
