If you searched for the best crypto casinos in the UK, here is the answer most lists skip: twenty of the crypto casinos, sportsbooks and prediction markets I have reviewed name the United Kingdom as a restricted country, in their own terms or in their licence. That includes every crypto-first casino whose terms I could read. The sites that do not mention the UK are either American-facing books that publish no country list at all, or sites whose terms I could not open. None of the sites I reviewed says it accepts UK players. Below: the table, what Stake’s UK exit and the Gambling Commission’s statements tell you, and what a UK player can actually check before depositing anywhere.

Crypto gambling sites restrict the UK in their own terms

I went through every review file I have and copied the restricted-country clause where one exists. This is the operator’s position about where it serves customers. It is not a legal opinion, and I do not say gambling with any of these sites is lawful anywhere. A country missing from a list is not an invitation either.

Shit List sites are left out on purpose. Rollbit and Red Dog also list the UK as restricted, for what it is worth, which is not much.

A site that skips the UK in its list is not a UK site

The six US-facing books in the “no list” row are the ones that look tempting on paper. Read what they do publish. Bovada lists 19 US states and DC, then makes the player “solely and fully liable for legal admissibility of online gambling” in their country. BetOnline publishes no restricted list and limits its welcome offer to “users located in North America only”. SportsBetting.ag’s terms forbid use from “a restricted state or country, as set forth in paragraph 16”, and paragraph 16 has no list. Super Slots and Wild Casino cite a paragraph 15 that contains none either. A missing list is a gap in the paperwork, not a welcome mat.

The unreadable row matters too. Stake, 888Starz and the rest blocked or redirected my requests, so I cannot tell you what their terms say about the UK. I did not get around those blocks, and I will not guess.

Stake’s UK site closed in March 2025

Stake did once have a British front door. Per a Gambling Commission consumer notice of 12 February 2025, Stake.uk.com was run by TGP Europe Limited under a white-label arrangement. New registrations stopped, redirection links were removed, and the notice said the “final shutdown of the Great Britain site will take place by 11 March 2025”. The Commission had opened an investigation after a widely viewed video showing the Stake logo outside Nottingham Trent University.

That is the pattern with crypto brands and the UK: when there is a UK presence, it runs through a GB licensee, and it can go. 1xBet’s UK-facing white label was suspended in 2019 after a newspaper investigation. Today, the Stake review covers stake.com, whose terms I could not read.

Sites like Rainbet for the UK all draw the same line

People searching for sites like Rainbet in the UK usually already know Rainbet blocks them. Its terms list the United Kingdom in §4.1.3, forbid VPNs in §3.4 (“You may not use a VPN, proxy or similar services”), and allow withdrawals to be refused if the restricted-territory rule is breached (§8.6). The obvious alternatives, Roobet, Gamdom, Shuffle, Duelbits and BC.Game, are all in the restricted rows above. Swapping one for another does not change the answer.

The best crypto sportsbooks exclude the UK too

The books with the most usable sportsbook terms in my reviews are Cloudbet, Sportsbet.io, 20Bet and 22Bet, with Thunderpick for esports and Roobet as a casino-first option. All six restrict the UK in their terms or licence. I went through them book by book for bet365 customers in the bet365 alternatives guide, and the conclusion was the same: for a UK bettor they are not an alternative at all. The crypto sportsbooks list carries the restricted lists in each review.

Sites like Polymarket for the UK face a licensing question

Polymarket’s help centre lists GB among 39 “completely restricted” countries, and its developer docs put the UK on the close-only list for both the website and the API. The two lists differ slightly, but the UK is on both. The same help centre says Polymarket “strictly prohibits the use of VPNs or similar tools to bypass geographic restrictions”. On 4 February 2026 the Gambling Commission’s Brad Enright said prediction markets could not be classed as non-gambling, would need a betting intermediary licence, and that unlicensed ones must avoid GB consumers, as reported by InterGame. I have not read a written Commission document on it.

Kalshi says it is “accessible internationally”, with restricted jurisdictions set out in Section VI of its Member Agreement, which I could not open. Press reports name the UK among restricted countries; I treat those as leads, not facts. The prediction markets guide has the dated record, and the prediction markets category lists what I have reviewed.

A VPN turns a restriction into a confiscation

I do not suggest VPNs, and the terms explain why better than I can. BitStarz (T&C 4.3): using a VPN to bypass a block “is strictly prohibited and may lead to confiscation of winnings”. Gamdom lists VPNs used to bypass geographical restrictions as a Forbidden Action. Shuffle calls concealing your location by VPN “a breach”. 20Bet says picking another country at registration to get around a restriction “is strictly forbidden” and can cost you your winnings and the account. 22Bet refunds a balance from a prohibited country “after the deduction of any winnings credited after your most recent deposit”. Cloudbet restricts by physical location, withdrawals included. The deposit goes in easily; the withdrawal is where the location check happens. The VPN guide quotes more clauses.

What a UK player can check before depositing

The Gambling Commission runs a public register of licensed businesses, with trading names and domains. If a site is not on it, the protections below do not apply to you there. What a GB licence gives you, per the Commission’s own consumer pages:

  • ID first. Licensees must verify age and identity before you gamble, and cannot make ID a condition of withdrawing if they could have asked earlier.
  • Withdrawals. You can withdraw “without unreasonable delay”, and not in instalments.
  • Bonuses. Wagering requirements are capped at 10 times from 19 January 2026, and one offer may not mix products such as betting and casino. Offshore crypto operators set their own multiples.
  • Your balance. A licensee must tell you whether customer funds are not protected, or have medium or high protection, if it goes bust.
  • Complaints. After eight weeks with the operator, you can go to an ADR provider, which the Commission calls “a free, independent service”.

The crypto vs online casino guide sets these rules against offshore terms, and the licence guide explains what a Curaçao or Anjouan seal does and does not promise.

Reddit threads are not in this post

I have not read Reddit for this piece, so I will not summarise “online casino crypto reddit” second-hand. What I did read is the operators’ own terms, the Commission’s notices and the complaint boards cited in each review. If a thread tells you a site “works fine from the UK”, check that site’s restricted list first. Working fine at sign-up and paying out are two different events.

Gamble only where the rules allow you

The honest version of a UK crypto casino list is short: among the sites I review, none says it serves you. If you gamble, set a budget in pounds, not in coins whose price moves while you play. If it stops being a choice, the responsible gambling page lists help lines and blocking tools. 18+ only, and only where it is permitted for you. The full directory of reviewed sites, with each restricted list, is in the crypto casinos category.
